Woot...

So Stephen Hawking may have proven himself wrong. According to the news, Hawking will be speaking at some big convention in Dublin. Apparently he sent a note at the last minute that only said, "I have solved the black hole information paradox and I want to talk about it." This is terribly exciting to me at least, and I would urge the rest of you to ( Read more... )

Ok, ok, ok! Drew! I is excited! I just had a thought and I want you to either completely squash it politely or explain how that is correct or otherwise explain to me what I’m probably REALLY thinking about.

We have discussed what a 2D world would be like, and we have talked about 4D stuff. I was thinking about how you said a 3D sphere passing through a 2D world would look like a circle that got bigger and bigger and bigger and then small and smaller...but it would never look like a sphere and stuff. You said that this is how a 4D “something” would probably seem in a 3D setting. So I started thinking about the shapes that my 3D hand would appear to be if it were going through a 2D "land". This made me think… you know as people we can only physically react and interrelate with each other on a 2D level. If we touch someone, even quite intimately and closely, there are only certain “shapes” (so to speak) or “spots” of ourselves that are in contact with the other person. The way that we interact emotionally is a third dimension. The way that we interact without meaning to, without knowing that we did, perhaps without ever knowing, as in spirit affecting spirit or energy influencing energy… that’s more forth dimension like. Hmm….So can you expound? Thank you Punkin #2.

I don't know how correct that theory is, but it sounds absolutely beautiful and exciting to me.
