I get this chill,
I know you're there,
The silence, the mystery,
The fog in my vision,
This place, this agony,
This great division.
I see you there in the window,
Pale skin, Empty eyes,
Ashen as the day has dragged on,
Faded and fading further,
This place, This memory of laughter,
I find you there dying in silence,
I find you there and pray for your rise.
I do not know this place,
I cannot fathom it's existence,
This is not what you were destined for,
This wasn't what it was supposed to be,
Devastated by the way the truth was disfigured,
Empty shells of what was loved,
The silence of the night quells my pains,
When you slumber, when you rest,
There my mind is free to dream and see what it was to be.
And my voice was lost in the void,
My choices led me to the gates of heaven,
There my weary head rested,
There my tired eyes closed,
I could feel you near me but no movement stirred,
I felt no need to rise, No need to move,
As if returned to you from such a far place,
I have found you my Angel and there we slept,
Wrapped around each other in ecstasy until the light died.
When my eyes opened I was back here,
Saddened, my path was true,
And I found you through misery,
There bound to you in my last moments,
Always found in your arms when I rise,
Never ending is this cycle of life,
Never ending is this fight for the ones that live beyond me,
I see you in the mirror staring back at me,
Those jaded broken eyes still fading,
I wonder then if I will ever find peace,
But I know this war is worth fighting.
Every time we fall again we shall rise,
Each moment is our last until the next,
You can't turn us away anymore,
And when you rest your weary eyes there we are,
Watching over you protecting your virtue,
You've never known us, You've only whispered our names,
And many we are so few to rise,
I see you there in the calm of the winter morning,
Breath hanging in the air bright eyed as the sun rises,
There is beauty here in every one of you,
I pray you never forget that.
When you see your brothers and sisters fall,
Reach out your hand, When you watch the world suffer,
Please reach out and comfort it,
These are the rites you were to keep,
These are your family members every single one of them,
May their flesh bare a different colour their blood still carries your name.
