I agree with you about the musicians and even authors, such as myself, who are paid pathetic royalties by companies who are interested ONLY in profit and not creativity. While it is true that if we download a book or a song we do "cheat" the author or musician, we "cheat" the music company or publishing company more.....and THAT is really what the big gripe is about. Yes, the authors and musicians want you to buy it so they can get money. But it is BIG CORPORATE WORLD that is the one pushing the laws and getting the laws they push for passed.

What I do with a CD or a book after I've paid for it is my business. I don't, of course, make copies to sell for my own profit. I do, and have done, sometimes resell the item. But I don't make copies to sell. I have also made copies and given them to people free. But that is not hurting anyone. Just like I have given copies of the books I've written and have been published away free too. It did not hurt anyone--except maybe the publisher. But they made more money on me than they lost. So to hell with them.

SUPPORT ANARCHY--download a song. hehehe

I AM an autonomous individual.
