Well, it has taken about 4-5 weekends for the weather to settle but it appears that I am heading out to my first baseball practice (in many years) in the next few minutes. I had a nice slow jog, bike ride, and cooldown with pushups and situps so I'm feeling as good as I am going to get. Before I get too far along this season, I wanted to establish some goals to attain. They're probably easy but I wanted to set things within reach and see how far above or below I get.
· Hit .275 : I think I was a consistent .270-.290 hitter, no power but enough to get on base and steal my way around
· Hit 1 single
· Hit 1 double
· Hit 1 triple
· Hit elusive FIRST home run : I think I had some inside-the-park homers because I was ultra swift back in the day but now with some weight on my belt I hope to discover some untapped power for the long ball
· Steal 10 bases
· Steal 2nd and 3rd in one at-bat
· Steal home
· 5 outfield assists : throwing people out from center field is my favorite thing to do
· No more than 3 errors
· Make all-star team
· Make playoffs
That's all I can think of for now. I plan on posting results throughout the season, as they occur.
