I went and watched Ralph do his thing last night and the man is nothing short of a natural star. They were excellent and as usual, got pretty much the best response out of all five acts. With the exception of Shades of Fiction. Though a lot of people seemed to have left during their show so it's still Ralph FTW. I have to say, I like Shades of Fiction, I bought their record on iTunes and stuff....but they bored me more than staring at a blank white wall for hours on end. But I get to my rant a bit here. Fuck them and every other person like them. I had a few different people come up to me and say hi because they were BL fans. I went back stage to talk to Ralph right before his set and everyone was great, I told some of the other players from other bands that I dug them and stuff and they were all really kewl. So, I just say hey to Picasso and that I dig their record and the dood acts like he has no idea who I am, and walks away. I laughed my ass off. So here comes the REAL rant.....those pieces of shit fucked everyone that played that night out of their money. Apparently when Ralph's band was playing, Shades of Crap decided to punch holes in the wall in the room that was specifically set aside for them in the back. As if they were fucking Led Zeppelin. The owner basically saw the shit, didn't believe anyone on who did it and said get the fuck out of here, yer not getting shit, and SoF were pretty much playing the 'we have no idea what happened' card. Fade into obscurity fellas...people like you don't deserve to walk onto that stage let alone have peoples attention on you.
Sorry....end of rant. I felt so horrible about it when I saw the owner yelling at the bands....but in perfect fashion, while he was, Bruce was like 'hey homie, chill and have another donut'...heh...ahh my friends...
