Yay, there is a new couple that moved next door, they own a chihuahua as well! Of course the dog's name is paris, and she just got it a few months ago. She doesn't really have any clue about the chihuahua breed though, she asked me a million questions about Buddha. I answered them quite happily, because her curiousity means that she does really love her dog. I let her borrow my "Chihuahua For Dummies" book to help her along, with any other problems. So yes this early in the morning and I did my good deed for animal-kind. :)
Buddha's skin is flaky and dry (I need economy doggy conditioner), but it's 90% itch free! His daily/other day bath does wonders, and it's improved his qaulity of life SO much! I am excited that he can recover w/o medications, the medications would of killed his lifespan since it's so tough to process on thier little liver. The sad thing is he won't be a looker, his fur is permanently gone on the belly and neck area where he had itched so much. People look at me like I am a horrible owner that neglected him or something. That part kind of sucks, I have to defend myself in public about that. It makes me want to carry his $5,000+ vet record to wave in thier faces, just to prove to them I do care for him. Whatever, he's happy, I'm happy, the other issues don't even matter.
Zen's knees are improving with holistic approach, he recieves natural aspirin in the morning for any stiffness and inflamation. At night he recieves human grade glucosamine with msm 500MG, to help regenerate the joints in between the kneecap. This will be done everyday for the rest of his life. He still remains playful, jumps, and runs around like it's nobodies business. I can say I don't see him in any sort of pain in the slightest, and he's doing it w/o heavy medication. His outlook is pretty good, he's pretty spry for a seven year old.
p.s I can't post the weekly picture because my digital cam is just eating batteries, and it won't take a picture now. It's driving me crazy, I don't have a electrical cord, so I don't know what to do, I'm sorry but I can't afford another digital cam. :(
