Hunting Helena

Valerius stood, hand pressed against a wall as if leaning into it. In truth his senses ranged throughout the building. From his seemingly innocent vantage point he could sense the King and his courtiers, the wandering Toreador, and his new companion. Ghouls littered the museum as well but he paid them little heed.

Finally he found the one he saught. Helena was here, deep in the bowels of the building, but never so far that he could not find her. Standing once more he turned, wandering in a seemingly aimless fashion towards the lower levels. Ranging his senses out he was privy to numerous 'private' Toreador conversations, most of them petty.

All of a sudden he heard a scream, a fair distance, but recognizable nonetheless. It was his companion, Kira. He started towards her and then paused. This could easily be a distraction. While he was aiding Kira, Helena might very well be escaping him. Several moments of indecision passed before he continued to run towards the sounds of the commotion his companion was involved in.

Rounding the corner he shoved past the useless 'degenerates' as the Toreador were aptly named. Lifting Kira up he saw her once beautiful eyes, now burning from the holy water he could feel even at a distance. Turning, he rushed with her back to their hotel room. Yet another crime for Helena to answer to, he thought before assuring Kira that all would be fine with a soft kiss upon her tender lips.
