This week I am on an advanced T-SQL training course.
It is good! and I am learning loads even on day 1 (which I wasn't expecting so much).
I was very surprised to find out that the person who is training us is the main author in the
Inside Microsoft SQL Server 2008 books
Itzik Ben-Gan.
I can't help but be a bit honoured. This guy really knows a lot about not only how to use the system but how it works from ground up. Also when he is confused with the behaviour of the system he can just ask the microsoft development teams.
ps. I am really glad I am not paying for the training myself.
