I just came across this really scary halloween story and the worst bit is it's true.
It affects computer security and not everyone is at all interested in it so I've cut it below
The summary of the story is that the DRM (digital rights management) software on some new CD's is evil.
It installs a piece of software that is invisible (without knowing an awful lot about your system you won't find a trace of it) and monitors what you do on your system. The really scary thing is that it allows anyone who wants to hide things on your PC do so with real ease so expect some viruses soon to take advantage of this.
