No. We're sheep. It's my understanding that roles are chosen at random for each individual game. Being a wolf in one doesn't mean you'll end up having the same role the next time you play.

I see. It is something of a strategy game, I suppose. However, the more you play it, the more comfortable you become with how it works, and you'll find a strategy that works for you.
