I like it when you're a bitch -^.^- It's because you're honest, and point out to me REAL errors and/or things you don't like for a reason (unline many people that just say "it sucks" and you can't understand why or what to do to make the pic better, or to be become a better artist yourself... but I digress :PPP). I agree they are... err... let's say... blatantly posing for the artist, and they must feel really uncomfortable, in that pose. XD I noticed that if I try to make the pic look like something from the anime, it loses in "spontaneity"... and it takes me ages to finish it! XD but the appeal of the anime style is HUGE, so expect some more anime-style pics from time to time :PPP As for the sketches, I was working on two Ikki/Shaka (I know, I know...), one Ankoku Andromeda/Ankoku Cygnus (though they're a little bit to sweet and innocent to be the Ankoku XD), and one Shun/Hyoga with chibi-Ikki, chibi-Seiya and chibi-Shiryu watchin' on from the background. And these are only the sketches I'm almost done with! My notebook is filled with at least 15 Saint Seiya doodles, and I want to finish them all!! :D
First nursing your arm, then drawing (me Tarzan, you Jane).
I'm sorry, but I don't think I can help you improve, you're a far better artist than I am XDDD! I only say what I see or think, not from the perspective of an expert (pffffff!), but as a watcher. We all have a valid opinion as watchers. I'm just stating mine.
I'm dying to see your sketches. The last one you mention sounds especially promising! ;P
We all have a valid opinion as watchers. I'm just stating mine. Amen to that, luv. It's just, you're one of those critiques every artist should have: you're honest, polite but firm, open to discussion... you compliment what deserves to be complimented, critique that which looks odd, and explain your point of view very clearly. I like your critiques 100000000th times better than those which read: "it sucks!! fuck off, loser". -_-;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; it's everyone's right not to like something, but ehy! there's way and way to say things...
The last one you mention sounds especially promising! ;P *grins* I've been dying to draw Saint Seiya chibies for quite sometime, now. I doodled the first ones on the background of a Hyoga/Shun pic I never finished... the two of them, battered and with their armors all creaked and splattered, held hands and looked far away... in the background, chibi-Ikki jaw-dropped, while chibi-seya and chibi-shiryu exchanged contented glances... I never finished that one, so I decided to go and make another chibies-pic. T his time, Shun is... ergh... taking liberties with Hyoga after having bandaged his eye. Liberties which chibi-Ikki does NOT appreciate (and to think it's just an innocent kiss on the cheek...). It's made with the marker, so it's a bit messy, but chibi-Ikki's look of wrath is priceless, if I can say so t something *I* made! XD
XD!! You're giving me feedback for my feedback! Well, giving you feedback for the feedback of your feedback, I must say that I've nearly blushed reading you comment. Thank you. I feel honoured that you have such a opinion of me *blush, blush, blush*.
Comments of the "this sucks" type, hold no credibility in my eyes. It's stupid and I tend to think that the person who says that it's not stating their true opinion, just trying to be rude and to hurt. Thus, I don't give them any credit.
I give the kind of feedback that I give because it's the sort I like receiving.
Hehe... chibis are soooo much fun (and ultra-kawaii!). I'm looking forward to see your pics with them all the more!
Today isn't a "let's rest the damaged arm" day, so if I get the time I may get to finish one or two sketches ^_^ If yes, then they'll be up in a few days ^______^
*giggles* completely OT, but... would you believe I keep readying "Terzian" instead of "Tarzan" in your comment??? I think I need some wraethuthu, now :P
