TTGL Image Board pictures
Once upon a time (read: long overdue post again), I promised undertheice that since I have the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Image Board, I'd show her the storyboard for episode 26 of the series, which dffers slightly from the final product.
Sadly, the Imagine board is one huge, thick book, which makes scanning the pics impossible unless you don't mind damaging it. so I had to resort to other means. *waves camera around* Forgive the blurryness, but said thickness+glossy qquality of the paper made it hard to take clearer pics. *sheepish*
- Now, as you can see, Kamina didn't wear a heart-stenciled shirt (yeah, that's a BIG difference...) here.
- The scene were Kamina gives Simon the engagement ring was supposed to be seen upside down. We don't see the scene itself, but rather its reflection on the water. I can't expand on how mind-blowing the scene would've been, if it had been kept like this. Showing the scene like that (reflected in a mirror-like surface, turned uposide down) fills it with subtle nuances - not just slashy, but DAMN. It's an engagement ring, people. In an alternate/mirror reality.
- In pic 3, we see Simon blushing (as per usual) during his dinner with Kamina - it's a dinner in a fancy restaurant, at a table for two... were the candles on the table, too? I don't remember. But I think it was CUTE how Kamina's mere presence (even that of the fake) could make Simon so content . I wish they'd kept the blush - it's so endearing!

- Pic 5, Kamina VS Fake!Kamina or, to quote a friend: "SeriousBusiness!Kamina VS SeriousBusiness!Fake!Kamina". *grins* Now, I adore how Kamina didn't just encourage Simon to "choose", but went and beat the fake to a pulp. On further reflection, it's nice how he trusted Simon to make the right choice, and pick himself up on his own from where he'd fallen. Still, fangirl mourns the loos of jealous!Kamina beating molester!of!cute!younger!SoulBrothers!Kamina XD;;
