Once upon a time, The Neme decided to experiment, and try painting something using a blend of photos, photomanipulation techniques, scanned textures and sketches, and Photoshop effects. Inspiration lead me to produce two pieces (which obviously look anything but something made with the same technique), both of which are inspired by/illustrate The Protomen's Rock Opera, ACT I - The Sons of Fate.
The piece I'm sharing today is actually the second born: "Hope Rides Alone". Something much grittier than I'd first imagined, and much grittier than the other piece ("Even This Grave..."), as well. Other than the final version, I'm also posting the original idea, the one that ultimately got discarded (an almost monocrhome piece, with a HUGE moon hanging over Proto) and two posters I made for The Protomen's 2010 tour.
Enjoy!
(comments and critiques are welcome, too, since this is an experiment and all. :))) )
