Horizons
Luhan/Xiumin; slight angst; PG; drabble 784
Luhan and Minseok just want more time.

A soft breeze ruffles Luhan’s hair waking up him. Luhan sits up slowly looking around in confusion. This is definitely not his bedroom is the first thought to enter his mind.

Luhan stares out at the expanse before him. If he wasn’t so confused right now he would think the view is the most beautiful he has ever seen. Right before them is a drop off but past that just below is a large lake framed by tall mountains that go on for miles. The sun just rose and sits just above the horizon bathing the whole scene in golden sunlight.

A groan sounds from beside Luhan and he averts his gaze to the lump lying next to him. All Luhan can see is hair peeking out from the top of the blanket but he already knows who it is, it wouldn’t be anyone else.

“Minseok, wake up.” Luhan nudges the lump.

Another groan and Minseok is sitting up rubbing his eyes. “My head hurts so bad,” he groans. “What--” Minseok’s mouth drops open as he takes in the sight just as Luhan had.

They both stay silent for a while just looking out at the scene which looks like something right out of a movie.

“How did we get here?” Minseok asks looking around at the rest of his surroundings.

Directly in front of them is a drop off, to their sides and behind them it’s all forest.

Luhan shakes his head. “I can’t remember for the life of me.” Luhan looks around the area taking in tiny details that he missed when he woke up. He can see that they were drinking, and quite a lot, there’s bottles scattered all around the dirty mattress which looks like it was dragged here, but from where?

“Did we do this while we were drunk last night?” Minseok asks. “How did we even manage to get this mattress up here? Where even is ‘up here’?”

Luhan doesn’t answer because he has the same questions. Luhan searches his mind, trying to figure out what the last thing he can remember is but all that comes to mind is his and Minseok’s conversation, the one that led to the drinking.

“It’s because what you told me,” Luhan starts. “You told me you were leaving and I remember telling you that we would have one last wild night together. I can’t remember what happened but I must’ve thought coming out here would buy us more time.” Luhan looks at Minseok who is staring at him wide-eyed.

Minseok opens his mouth but then closes it. Then he opens it again. “The last thing I remember is you saying that we had to have one last night where nothing and nobody else mattered.” Minseok says. “I guess we did just that.” Minseok smiles softly at Luhan. “Too bad we can’t remember any of it.”

They both go silent once more but this time the air between them is swirling with everything that is still being left unsaid.

“I’m gonna miss you Luhan.” Minseok says not looking at Luhan at all. Instead he is staring out at the view.

“I know,” Luhan places his hand on Minseok’s cheek and turns his head so they are looking at each other. “I am going to miss you too.” Luhan leans into Minseok slowly, he doesn’t want anything about this to be rushed, not like it had been last night when they were drunk and careless.

Luhan stops all movement when their lips are softly touching. “I love you,” he whispers against the other’s lips. Then he finally makes full on contact with Minseok’s lips.

It’s starts out slow and sensual all the things they won’t be able to tell each other are being said through soft kisses and soft groans. Luhan’s hands slowly move into Minseok’s hair on their own and he pulls him impossibly closer. Minseok sighs into Luhan’s mouth just as Luhan deepens the kiss.

They eventually break apart from each other both slightly out of breath.

“We have to go, I have to go.” Minseok says sadly. He doesn’t let go of Luhan though.

Luhan can tell he is trying his hardest not to cry. Luhan is doing the same thing.

“Minseok,” Luhan says softly. “I will always be here, waiting for you.”

Minseok looks up and Luhan can see tears slowly making their way down his cheeks. “I know Luhan.” Minseok wipes his eyes with the back of his hand.

Their time has run out.

The two of them get up and make their way out of the forest together. It’s the last time they will get to see each other for a long time but not the last.

A/N: I don't know. Don't take it too seriously because I don't even know what this is.
