That last entry was plenty botched. A few corrections...My mom is bringing me a shirt FOR work, not FROM work. She works at a residential facility for the mentally handicapped so I probably wouldn't have her bring me their shirts. The pictures aren't small at all, are they? My mom is only going to be in the hospital for a couple hours and I'm going to have zero time to sell blood next week, so there's likely to be no chance I'll get to visit her during the weekend. And finally, SOMEONE does look at the lj.
Now, for the update. Today Jordan and I went to Cincinnati and I really liked it this time. IT IS FALL OUTSIDE PEOPLE! That's amazing to me. The particular street we went to, Clifton Ave., was pretty cool. We went to a used book store that smelled like pee and animals. The downstairs smelled like my old basement bedroom in Evansville, which was touching. I found Quentin Crisp's "Resident Alien: The New York Diaries." I thought they had a great collection! We picked a random pizza joint across the street that turned out to be great, also. They played an early Flaming Lips album all the way through and had rare, framed pictures of a lot of my favorite musicians. The pizza and jalapeno bottle caps were succulent. It's called Mac's...incase you're ever in Cinci. The whole experience reminded me of our road trip to Bloomington I don't remember when. I wish more than anything that I had a reason to live in Bloomington. I know there's not much going on there anymore and it still appeals to me. I just want the one small street with the fiercely independent book store, record store, coffee shop, game store, and vegetarian restaurant all right there. Tumbleweeds blow through town right past the venue that brings Modest Mouse and Xiu Xiu. The daily paper is called The Alternative and it has a feature article on the prescribed burnings of local forests because environmentally conscious people are a majority in the area. Regardless of the people around me that I can ignore, it's a lot like my own private heaven and equally unattainable. So anyways, we got Macaroons for dessert at the health food store because we have been looking for them ever since we saw them on The Soprano's, which is our current infatuation.
I get pretty bored here, but I really don't wanna leave in the morning. Jordan and I have separate lifestyles now, but while I'm here, I, fortunately, fall right back into the life we have together and, I have to admit, I really don't know what to do with myself outside of that. Sure, I have responsibilities, but ultimately, it's all about Jordan folks.
Yeah, I'm getting sad about leaving so this probably isn't going anywhere. I'll write more when the next phase of my life has begun.
