And that's a weekend.

Just got back from a trip to Canberra for the visiting art masterpieces exhibition.
Van Gogh's 'Starry Night' is one I've seen in books and photos etc many many times... but in person it is an amazing sight. Can't really describe why. It's really just something you have to see to understand it.
And while standing there I heard a tour guide behind me trying to describe a painting to someone. I thought I'd move aside a bit to let them see it better. As you do I turned around to acknowledge them... and realised it was the freaking Prime Minister!!! Got his autograph and shook his hand. I mean come on, it's the head of the federal government!
But after a long walk to the gallery, 90 minutes queueing outside in the sun, and another hour queueing once we got in the place, then an hour walking through the exhibit, then walking all the way back to Kingston again, our feet were not the happiest of body parts.
Spent much of the time with the grandparents for the first time in over a year, and it was great to see them. Hadn't occured to me how long it had been.
Also spent the evening with my mate Cam from uni. Haven't seen him in even longer. Got to meet some of his current cronies.

Popped in to GW, got myself a rhino and had a flick through the new Blood Angels codex. The Baal Predator now has the scout ability?!? And they get an aerial support choice that no other chapters get, and it's effectively a flying landraider with capacity for 12 marines AND a dreadnought... for 200 points! And their landraiders can now deep strike?!?!?!? And here's me playing Imperial Fists and painting lots of yellow armour like a sucker! Seems a little unbalanced, but I only had a very quick look.
