Merlot And Other Elevations

13 (thirteen) percent of how you act

watching people pass by, analyzing shoes

so tell me, where have you been lately (?)

universally broken down into molecules

been carving through this cellblock vent

singing blues style the whole way through

memorizing the scent of shallow water green

it takes so little for life to undo (itself)

---

i ponder satellite invention

enter: cyber-electronics, but then

it’s only the force of lightening gathered

friction creating more friction  (and so on)

inside our tupperware snow globes, encased

in duct tape to prevent chemical invasions

watching people pass by, always looking down

averting the polarity of daily ascensions

i would indeed compare you to Shakespeare

when he was having a go at sincerity

now and again i find myself wandering

from my mind to western seas

from my mind to western seas

you know, i watch the atmosphere blanketing

you think: “how endless the misinformation.”

and we acquiesce, from eras to centuries

languid and hopeful for the grey elation

the grey elation

the grey creation

the names got mixed along the way

one-worded responses and high jacking glares

your face in the shadows again
my hands are searching, your back to the wall
