Just when you thought things were getting boring...
In typical Dale fashion, I decided I needed to swing by the office to get envelopes....at 1215am!
Anyway, Good thing.. There was a minor debate in my head that was saying "meh I'll just go to bed...." but something made me decide otherwise. Put on my crappy shoes (I was only going for a few mins!) and hopped in the car...
Arriving at the office, I noticed water in the upstairs lobby.. mmkay..
Then downstairs, a pool of water at the bottom of the stairs...
Finally in the reception area and the server/phone cabinet... among other places...
Fortunately, it didn't actually touch any sensitive electronics! But very close.
Suffice it to say, between me, Jay, the business manager, and a steam-cleaner we managed to slow down the damage and went home aroudn 4am. My feet aching like crazy.
Had I decided to sleep instead of swinging by, the outcome could have been MUCH worse.. i.e. 9 hours of water pouring down from the ceiling...
Thank goodness for not having envelopes at home... AND 24-hour Sobey's in Barrhaven that rents steam cleaners!
