Here's what I imagine your thoughts to be as I start this commentary. "Oh fuck now we have to here about how Pete thinks Clinton is a disgrace for not voting to condemn this....Blah Blah blah....."
Well I may think that but thats not what I have to say.
Congress' job is not to waste my fucking time. This is not legislation. This is nothing but a political stunt. If they want to take the time to comment on this outside of the time when congress is in session then fine, but don't waste the taxpayers money on something so stupid. The add was crap. Everyone knows this is an honorable man who leads the forces in Iraq. We don't need a silly vote saying that the Senate condemns this. Do you think Moveon.org cares? How about Patreus? The best way to deal with this is to go on news commentray shows and talk about it.
You were not elected to sit there in the Senate soaking up tax payer money in order to vote about ads.
This was created by a republican. I hope he isn't wondering now why the people didn't vote to keep them in power. It has nothing to do with the democrats. They only won because people were pissed that the republicans weren't governing like conservatives. It had nothing to do with the war. If it did there would be a coup in the democratic party.
