Ok, so say you know you're doing something or acting in a way that hurts somebody (however inadvertently). Do you try to change yourself so that you're not being hurtful, or is it something the other person should accept because it's part of who you are?
Also, is self-"improvement" a goal people should strive for in life, or should life experiences be the sole mechanism for creating a person's identity? Is self-improvement really an illusion because no matter what we do, our experiences define us? Or do people actually have some control over themselves?
