FUNimation gave exclusive news to our good buddy Gia that they had licensed two more Gonzo titles as part of their deal to be the
sole distributor of all Gonzo titles. Under this agreement, Funi now has
Linebarrels of Iron &... get ready for it... no this is not a joke....
Strike Witches. Yes, the series about young lolis wearing no pants is actually coming to the US. DVDs for the series are said to come out in early 2010, so America still has about a year to brace itself.
Now, normally it'd be unthinkable for an anime company like FUNimation to release a series in anything but its most unedited format. But considering it's Strike Witches, I wouldn't be completely surprised if Funi decided to release the
unedited TV version instead of the
completely unedited DVD version. Still though, this isn't what I expect to ultimately happen. But you never know. & if Funi plans to start streaming the title on their website soon like I expect them to, they'll probably use the same super-edited version that aired on YouTube & Crunchyroll.
& yes, if Funi really does have the balls to release this series in a completely unedited boxset, I'll be buying it. =b
