TAF: Toei Announces New Anime

Mar 19, 2009 23:22

Toei Animation had a few big anime projects to share this week at the Tokyo Anime Fair. The first is titled, simply enough, "Toei Robot Girls." Though they do note that the title is only tentative. The story revolves around girls who dress up as famous robot characters from various past Toei series. Featured in the picture above, the three girls are dressed up as mech from Superhuman Combat Team Baratack, Magnerobo Ga-Keen, & Gaiking.

The other project is for an anime movie titled "Niji-Iro Hotaru ~Eien no Natsu Yasumi~" (Rainbow-Colored Fireflies: Eternal Summer Vacation), based on a 2007 Japanese novel of the same name. The film is said to be a summer vacation story co-produced by Masayuki Kawaguchi (author of the novel) & Alphapolis.
