Bandai Delays Gurren Lagann
Bandai Entertainment has sent word out to retailers that volumes 3 & 4 of Gurren Lagann, both originally due out on January 6, have now been delayed indefinitely. No word as to why the discs are being delayed, nor is there any idea as to what the new date will be. One would assume this delay would also apply to the regular & special edition versions of the Gurren Lagann part 2 release (which has volumes 3 & 4 boxed together). However, there's no indication that this is the case.
I hope they come out eventually. I gotta complete my collection & fill my box, after all. Wouldn't it be utterly hilarious though if Bandai's having the same troubles with Gurren Lagann that ADV had one year earlier? & then a third company would have to come in & rescue the title again. Perhaps FUNimation, as they save everything. Or perhaps ADV wants to come & claim their lost title back? I jest, of course. I'm sure everything will be fine with Bandai & Gurren Lagann in the end. At least, I hope.
