Megami Magazine 101
What's this? Gurren Lagann... YOKO... on the cover of Megami Magazine? Wow, now that's a really cool surprise. But yup, in honor of the Gurren Lagann movie coming out in Japan, the October issue of Megami gives tons of coverage to the hit franchise. The extra large pull-out poster is a zoomed-out version of the cover:
VERY nice TTGL poster. In fact this may be the coolest poster that Megami has ever had. The only way it'd be cooler was if Kamina was on it as well. But this is Megami, so no boys allowed! On the flip side, we have a nice Strike Witches jumbo poster as well. Dammit, why do they do this? Sometimes there are months when neither side of the large poster intrigues me, & then they go pull off something like this & make both sides awesome & I have to choose between them.
Back to Gurren Lagann though, those weird pseudo pencil board posters came back. On one we have Yoko, & the other is Nia. But both really weird looking art styles. Seriously what's with that? Not to mention that the TV series went its whole run without a single poster in Megami, & now we get 3 (including the jumbo) & an extensive article? Better late then never, I suppose.
