are you asking how things would've been if both the trilogies were released in order? I doubt they would've caught on as well... I mean, for one thing, the historical earth-shattering shocker at the end of Empire Strikes Back would've been lost on the audience, since they'd already know who Darth Vader is. Let's not forget that the entire franchise would start out with a movie whose title villain turned out to be a fucking pussy... yeah, I'm sure it would've started out with quite a bang then. -Yamato

So no then. But people are forgetting that every villain has a reason and a story. Vader has one and it seems all the other Sith lords do/did. I did some research.
