A Korean website is reporting that the live-action
Blood: the Last Vampire movie will be coming to American theaters in March 2009 on over 2,000 screens. While a movie like the Dark Knight might debut on about 4,000 screens (the record holder), 2,000 is actually closer to a normal number. & quite good for a film that's based off an anime.
Of course the fact that this piece of news is coming from a Korean news site & not the mouth of Universal Studios plays a factor in how much faith we should put into this. Though since Saya is being played by a Korean actress in the film, it's understandable why the news would come from such a source. But considering that the film originally had an
opening date of Spring 2008, a March 2009 date doesn't seem all that unreasonable. Just take it with a grain of salt for now. In the meantime, just watch reruns of Blood+ on Adult Swi.... ohhh. Never mind.
