Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
BAD. Johnny Depp was amazing in the first Pirates of the Caribbean as Captain Jack Sparrow. A wonderful character that Depp pulled off perfectly. But here in this second part of the series, his character is much less unpredictabile. The movie itself has also lost a lot since the first one. The humor is not nearly as good (or even there), & overall just feels unoriginal when compared to the last one.
A Scanner Darkly
GOOD. Based on the Philip K. Dick novel, this film is a faithful adaptation of that story. Fans of the book should love it. Described as a "a visual & mind-blowing journey," & perfectly depicts a drug-addled world that's become politically unstable. A great action/adventure flick, depsite its limited release.
