Winners: Kurisu Makise (Steins;Gate), Erica Hartmann (Strike Witches)
Both matches today were extremely heated & close, but especially Hartmann vs Rin, where the Strike Witch came out on top by a mere 3 votes. I knew this would be a close match between the two surprisingly strong series of this year- too close to call, even. Nonetheless, I'm still surprised that it was the veteran "Strike Witches" that won, proving they really are doing better than two years ago. As for the other match, it was close, but my prediction of Itsuwa winning wasn't part of it. She wasn't even a factor, having come from the third highest vote count in Round 1 to a pitiful 91 votes this round. But between a long all-day match between Kurisu vs Miya, "Steins;Gate" continues to prove its metal. Full results:
A3
1st 317 Kurisu Makise @ Steins;Gate
2nd 268 Miya Tachibana @ Amagami SS
3rd 91 Itsuwa @ A Certain Magical Index
B3
1st 293 Erica Hartmann @ Strike Witches
2nd 290 Lingyin Huang @ Infinite Stratos
3rd 80 Pao-Lin Huang @ Tiger & Bunny
Today we got one match filled with really awesome characters, & another filled with ones who were lucky to even make it to the second round. First the more interesting match, with Mizuki vs Tooru vs Lotte. As cool as Mizuki is, she really isn't a factor here between the other two. & as much as I like Tooru & am rooting for her to win, Lotte is quite strong. She actually has a somewhat decent chance of making it to the end this year, so I don't see her losing just yet.
As for the other group, it should come down between Suzuha & Yukko. If the "Steins;Gate" fans are truly serious about making their series a powerful threat this year, then Suzuha will probably win. If not, the victory goes to Yukko.
