god dammit... I really do need to stop paying attention to these threads on account of fake votes. I was afraid Tsukasa might actually beat Tenshi, but as it turned out, a LOT of those votes I was seeing for her were no doubt fake. Tenshi not only beat her, but by an extremely large margin no less (getting close to double what Tsukasa got, actually). Bah, every year I make myself an utter wreck over this tournament, yet every year, I keep coming back. T_T

Ah well, so long as Tenshi's still on path to reclaim her Best 8 status, I'm happy. Strike Witches and IS being stronger than expected might be worrying, but given Kanade's first round results (and even her results here, albeit lower), I wouldn't worry, especially since IS's Chinese osananajimi seems to be the least popular out of the main girls (Japanese xenophobia at play here? I wonder).

As for Itsuwa, while I do like her (busty, cutely timid, and probably the first character in the series to use a long-arm, beating out Agnes; I'm also rather intrigued by characters who start out as background extras or random goons yet manage to grow in prominence), I can't really say her win in the first round was all that impressive. It's widely believed that the main reason her vote count there was so high was due to the shared fanbase with Mikoto, whom as you know was fighting it out in one of the biggest opening matches in Saimoe history. This round could debunk that theory, but I'm not holding my breath.

good god... forget debunking, the Index faction just didn't give a flying fuck yesterday. Poor Itsuwa, she rose so high only to sink so low.
