Winner: Nagi (Hayate)
The Ojou-sama becomes the first player in Saimoe history to make it to the final round twice! Major congrats to Nagi for making Saimoe history! & with her in the Finals, we have a chance to have a Rie Kugimiya character win for a second year in a row, & a tsundere character winning for a third year in a row. Of course that all depends on who she goes up against, which is being decided right now. As for Nagi vs Koromo though, even though I predicted Nagi to win, I thought it’d be a much closer match than this. She actually won by over 300 votes, dashing hopes of potential Saki vs Saki finale. Here’s how it went down:
Semi Final 1
1st 1228 Nagi Sanzenin @ Hayate The Combat Butler
2nd 923 Koromo Amae @ Saki
Who will face against Nagi in the final round will be decided with this battle. If Nodocchi wins, she'll be the first oppai character to ever make it to the finals. If Azunyan wins, we'll have a repeat finale of last year of a Kugimiya tsundere vs a K-ON gal, albeit with different characters.
Being the "Kugimiya Killer" though might mean Nodoka would have an easier time in the finale than here in the semifinals. But Azusa is the all-star player this year, being the top performer in nearly every area. Simply put, this is her here. Sure she competed last year as well, & made it pretty far to boot. But her character during the second season of K-ON became so fleshed out & developed & became such a main focus (arguably the role of main character transferred from Yui to her as the second season went on, given how much spotlight treatment she got), not to mention her emotional farewell in the final episode, that 2010 belongs to Azunyan. Nodoka & the Saki faction wont be easy to beat, but I'm still predicting & of course hoping that the angel of the light music club will win this. GO AZUNYAN!
