Saimoe 2010: Round 3, Day 6
Winner: Mafuyu (Seitokai no Ichizon)
My prediction was correct. At this point, Mafuyu can no longer be considered an underdog since she keeps winning so convincingly. But she is the dark house of 2010, since I don't think anyone originally expected hereto get this far. I wasn't correct about Yui-nyan coming in second, though. Instead she wound up in a distant third. And so the road ends for for "Angel Beats," and "Bakemonogatari" for that matter. Two rookie series that started out with huge potential this year, only to get wiped out completely before even making the quarter finals. Full results:

What a matchup we have here! It's double the K-ON and Biribiri going at it. Looking at the three girls individually, I gotta say Azunyan is the strongest among them. However, the threat of a split vote here makes this match very unpredictable. The "Saki" faction has shown they've been able to overcome split votes with no difficulty, but can "K-ON" do the same? Are they really willing to sacrifice Mio so that the young angel of HTT can win? Because if not, then Biribiri can easily come between the two and take the victory for herself. She's more than worthy of making the finals, after all. But since Azusa has been my #1 pick to win this tournament since the beginning, I'll be praying to the moe gods that she has what it takes to win this.
