Saimoe 2010: Round 1, Day 19
Winners: Nagato (Haruhi), Hazuki (Baka & Test)
Nagato crushed her competition, as expected. But even doing so she didn't really garner all that many votes. 270 votes is lower than I expected for her. At least my kawaii Shuri managed to get second place.
Meanwhile, Hazuki broke the "Saki" streak by barely winning out against Someya. & "Katanagatari" getting a split-vote didn't really affect them at all- they still would've come in last place with both Nanami & Konayuki's votes combined. Full results:

Today should prove to be a double victory for "Angel Beats," & they're victories the franchise desperately needs at this point. They're both strong & important characters, so it shouldn't be too much trouble. On the one side we have Kanade, who's main threat would normally be Index. However, Index is competing this year only thanks to brief cameos in "Railgun," & as we've already seen, Saimoe voters do not support cameo appearances. Interestingly enough, Kanade will also essentially be competing against herself- her seiyuu, Kana Hanazawa, also voices Suou from "Darker than Black." Should still be an easy victory for Kanade, though.
& our other AB girl today is the adorable loli Yui. She doesn't quite have it as easy as Kanade though, as Yui as tough competition in the form of Inami from "Working!" I still think Yui will win this round, but Inami wont make it easy for her.
