Don't amount squat it seems. I sent the company a letter to try and dissuade them from releasing 'Luck Star' here and mentioned another company >GENEON< that kept pumping out JAPANESE SPECIFIC ANIME into America.. and was ignored.
I read the fansubs and missed about~ oh.. 90% of the jokes in most of the episode being that I wasn't.. A BORN JAPANESE- the only true joke I got was at the end where the second fiddle had to find spring water and I knew he had to travel far since I did go to Fuji-sama and knew the distances needed to take.. of which it insinuated he walked! Leading to the awesome berserk moment when he trashed the studio! That was at the END of the TWENTY PLUS episodes I crawled thru to get that laugh
K-ON! again takes place in a Female only JAPANESE school where fun stuff happens because they're kids~~~ The only smirk I got out of it all was the obscenely rich blond(or Fake) girl would takes them all to her "small" dwellings for band training.. ha ha...
Once again- Bandai steps into it with both feet ignoring History (GENEON) and proceeds to piss out more cash for the few Otakus willing to cough up the dough rather then have a meal for a couple of days.

Oh come now, give them some credit. It's not like all the remaining companies didn't learn anything from Geneon. I'm sure they've calculated the numbers & know that a title like K-On wont do the same as Code Geass, but they still feel it's worth it & can profit some from it. Have some faith. ;)
