Lucky Star Beach Queens Figures
Here are two lovely anime figurines not seen at Winter WonFes this year, but more than deserve to be called attention to. You should be familiar with WAVE's Beach Queen series of figures by now. All of the K-On girls have had Beach Queen figurines announced and/or released by now, & more recently "Baka to Test to Shokanjuu" has entered the line as well. But there have been others as well, such as girls from Mai-Hime, Fate/Stay Night, Lyrical Nanoha, & more. But the latest series to enter the line is none other than K-On's sister series Lucky Star!
New swimsuit figures of both Konata & Kagami have been revealed by WAVE for their Beach Queen lineup, & boy are they nice looking. Especially Kagami, who (surprise!) I have a weakness for. & to make her even more moe, Kagamin comes with a second buns-style hairdo in addition to her normal twintails. Konata, meanwhile, comes with an alternative facial expression (winking & non-winking).
Both girls will retail for 3990 yen each (~$44), & are due out in late August. It's probably best to get both, that way you can combine them together to make the lovely image seen from the classic Megami Magazine poster the two are based off of:
