Funi Streams Dubbed Slayers Revolution
FUNimation began streaming the first four episodes of the English dub of the new Slayers Revolution series today, nearly two months before it gets released on DVD. This is the first time in about 10 years that the majority of the original English Slayers dub cast have reunited to voice the classic characters again, including the amazing Lisa Ortiz (one of my all time favorite VAs) as Lina Inverse. This is also pretty much the first time in years that much of the cast get to voice in a serious anime. Okay, maybe "serious" isn't the best way to describe Slayers, but considering some of these guys have been doing nothing but 4Kids Entertainment titles for years now, I'd say it's pretty apt.
In an unusual move, FUNimation chose to stream these dubbed episodes for the first time ever on YouTube. Usually their titles premiere on their own video portal before moving onto other video sites like YouTube & Hulu, but this time they've decided to do things a bit differently.
