Seemingly content with licensing
every perverted anime out there, Media Blasters have announced that they have licensed the ecchi fan-service series
Kanokon. The team currently working on this season's "Ladies vs Butlers" created the Kanokon anime back in 2008, so you can guess how pervy the series was (if not more so). MB (under their AnimeWorks label) will be releasing the first volume of "Kanokon- the Girl Who Cried Fox" on April 27, which will contain the first four episodes. Oh Media Blasters, still releasing singles even in the year 2010. At a retail price of $29.99, this release will contain an English dub.
Speaking of English dubs, MB also announced that they'll be re-releasing a new version of
Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-Chan in April as well. The difference being this time the series will include an English dub, where as the first release was sub-only. It turns out that Dokuro-chan has done so well for them that it now merits a dub. Not only that, but they're considering going back & giving "Loveless" a dub as well. With Media Blasters doing so much dubbing these days, it seems they're reversing their old tendencies of doing so many sub-only titles. In fact MB was the
first company to seriously switch over to sub-only releases. But now in this time when more & more companies are doing sub-only titles (even FUNimation has begun considering it), Media Blasters is dubbing more titles than they have in years.
Other April releases from MB include a second version of Genshiken 2 complete series pack. Coming only one month after March's complete series pack, this one is $10 cheaper at $59.99 because it doesn't include a t-shirt. Ah My Buddha, GoLion, Doujin Work, & Tekkaman Blade will also be getting complete series releases as well. Of course this is assuming they'll all be released on time, as MB is notorious for having delayed releases.
