Bastard!! Development Halted
Until last week, Tecmo was working on developing am MMORPG based on the extremely long running "Bastard!!" manga by Kazushi Hagiwara. Unfortunately, production has now been put to a stop. Tecmo was taking a look at the future market of video games, & saw little room for it to grow in the unfavorable climate. But considering the rather generic looking concept art for the game, perhaps all is for the best. Besides, it was very unlikely that the game would get released in America anyway.
The "Bastard!!" manga has been running on-again/off-again in Japan since 1988. That's over 20 years in length, first starting in Shonen Jump before jumping to Ultra Jump in 2001.
