"The man is not stupid or mentally incompetent.. He did well at Yale and U. of Michigan Medical School. Why does everyone assume he is being honest? Evil people can be clever and highly intelligent. He will lie and exaggerate to motivate his far right base. He is a hater, and frankly evil. He will twist truth to get what he wants. Anyone who would state in public that Obama care is as bad as the institution of slavery was, knowing full well that this is not the case, and thinking he will get a pass because some if not all of his own ancestors were probably slaves, is pure evil. His comments about homosexuality come with a long list of demagogic statements that a Nazi would be proud of. I think Mr. Carson is intelligent enough to know that he is not going to get the Presidential nomination, and he also knows that power-- both financially and egotistically -- will be his if he makes a good running for the Presidency. He will get huge speaking fees, television contracts, and could even get the VP nomination if he played his cards right. But tell the truth? No, he is not doing that. He is going for the blood and guts of his willing idiots in the Tea Party, and he will willingly put LGBT people and their supporters in concentration camps (I am not exaggerating here, he is that evil) if they will get in his way."
