A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MEANDER AROUND THE REGION THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED EACH AFTERNOON AND EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY OVER THE SOUTHERN SIERRA NEVADA...AND SHOWERS WITH ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE CENTRAL CALIFORNIA INTERIOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY. THE MAIN THREAT FROM THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE DANGEROUS CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING AND STRONG AND ERRATIC WIND GUSTS. BRIEF HEAVY RAIN WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE WHICH COULD CAUSE PONDING OF WATER ON AREA ROADS.
