Nebs Goes Out On A Limb [reviewed]
~Posted this on Oct 11th. Seems I did pretty good [I listened to Nate Silver lol] though I underestimated the GOP EV loss, but I was factoring in GOP voter suppression, which it turns only made Florida politically irrelevant.
"This Election will be over in a little less than four weeks [27 days, but who's counting] And I'm gonna take a risk and predict the outcome. It's not that big a risk as I have no money directly riding on this sucker, though we do have a very specific dog in this fight. If Romney wins, Le-Le's VA benefit increase will probably take twice as long to get approved, if ever, 'cause a Romney administration will almost certainly crash the economy once again.
So, here goes. Obama is going to win. That's a fairly easy call, but most think that'll happen by only a half dozen Electoral Votes. I'm saying he is going to wipe Romney off the map with a win by a thirty to forty Electoral Vote margin. [it was a one hundred and twenty six EV margin..brutal]
The GOP is not going to get a majority in The Senate and they're going to lose seats in The House, though they will probably maintain their majority there, but I think there's a good chance they'll lose that in '14. [the GOP lost two Senate seats and eight House seats, with another six still up in the air as of this moment...have to wait two years for the rest]
Now don't go getting all excited by this. We're gonna keep getting ass-fucked no matter who wins. But with the Democrats it'll be slow and steady, with a chance for a kiss and a reach-around. With the Repugs it'll be straight up Prison Gang Rape. [I am standing firmly by this statement as I've never had any doubt about this state of affairs]
