Nice Guys Finish Last
Okay, I made a mistake tonight. I'll get to that later, since I'm used to mistakes, but this one was kinda weird.
Anyways, I've been fairly busy since work started. I'm working every day of the week except Saturday at Westminster, as a computer lab proctor. It's very easy during the summer for the most part. Here's the schedule: Monday 2-6, Tuesday/Wednesday 2-8, Thursday 2-6, Friday 2-4, Sunday 1-5. So far, I've played a lot of computer games, watched 3 dvds and looked over my VBS stuff.
Speaking of which, I'm helping out with Vacation Bible School this week. I'm one of the adult leaders and it's a lot of work. I have a group of 9 kids, and I was the only leader to not have a helper, since mine did not show up. It was kinda rough doing everything myself, so hopefully tomorrow Lillian finds someone to work with me. I saw several kids I recognized from Mrs. Bell's 3rd grade class. Chelsea even came up and gave me a big hug, awww. :-) I expect it'll be a fun week no matter what.
This past weekend Jolene came to visit me. She came Friday during the day and left Sunday afternoon. It was really nice to see her and I hope I can go see her sometime or she can come visit again. Friday night we went to see Harry Potter 3 with Jodie and Ed, and followed it up with a trip to Kings. It was my second time seeing Harry Potter 3 and I really liked it obviously! Saturday night a whole gang of us played poker at Brad's house and Jolene and I lost our money, heh. Sunday, Jolene, Jodie and I went to church together. It was a very nice weekend. :-D
Now, the mistake. I was online earlier today at work, and an old friend/interest Amy IMed me and wanted to know what was up. I already had plans to go to Chronicles of Riddick after work. She asked if her, her cousin and her cousin's friend could tag along. I hadn't seen her in a while, so I thought, hey why not. Amy and I had gone on a date (her first) last summer, and it was fun. Her cousin Michelle has liked me forever, she's cute, but she's only 16. And her friend Tiffany, oh my God, she was actin like a total bitch. So yeah, we go to the movie, and I meet Ed, Ben Smith, Charlie and Nick. I saw Colin, Geoff, and Brinker had come too. The mistake was inviting those girls. Wow, it was so stupid of me. First off, they kept talking during the movie and the person behind us was gettin pissed. Then, the girl Tiffany wanted a smoke, and they were locked in my car. I gave them my keys so they could unlock the car, get em, and smoke. They were gone quite a while, but I knew they'd be back. They must have been gone a good half hour, and they said they went to Shop N Save (they walked, didn't drive my car) and met some guys they wanted to go hang out with after. Then, they had the nerve to ask me to use my cell phone, I told em to go use the pay phone and that I felt used completely. I guess they called those guys after and were gonna head out with them. The one funny thing, the guy behind us told them off for being rude during the movie. They asked me to wait 5-10 minutes for those guys to come pick em up. I should have been gone sooner. I saw Colin's car parked next to mine...so I decided enough was enough and I didn't want to make a scene, so I drove off. It started to rain...good I thought... but then I felt bad, so I circled around to see if they got a ride home. They did, which is good, so I didn't have to. I count it as a loss and a definite mistake. Girls can be such bitches!
Anyways, glad that's over. And can't wait for the rest of the week of VBS and my easy lab job.
