Angry response to a homophobe

Sep 16, 2006 15:59

Here is the response I gave to a guy that used to be my friend in HS. I reacted towards him because he started spreading the information that I was gay to a bunch of people from my HS which eventually could lead to my parents finding out due to others. This got me real pissed, here is my ANGRY response...which today makes me laugh....but well....I got caught up in the moment.
My very own and personal celebration of gay pride.

E-mail:

"Hi Fuga, this is Niels,

A friend told me that you were spreading the information I trusted you when I told you I was gay. He also told me that you deleted me from your messenger list due to the fact that I erased you first. I never erased you from my list, even when your reaction to my revelation was far from positive. Now I regret the fact that I didn't actually erase you when I should have. You erased me from your contacts because your a fucking homophobe that needs to prove his manhood because you've always failed with women.

I am what I am and I'm not ashamed of it, in fact, I always was and am proud of it. I only kept it a secret for so long to try to fit in a society like the venezuelan society that judges a person solely based on their sexuality. Fortunately, life is good today and I live in the United States, free and open to what I truly am. Comments like yours and the lack of honor that you showcased when you started spreading the information behind my back are only a small stone of ignorance that is easily overcome.

In fact, I don't really care if people find out. What I care about is that people find out through others, due to big mouths like yours. In my hands is to tell anyone, as we are dealing with a personal matter that belongs to me and only me. If I choose to share anything, the least I expect from that person is the respect to keep my business from the public scrutiny.

I thank you now because you erased me from your list of contacts. Sadly, I did not erase you when I should have.
Have a great life.

Niels"

Yeap....that was me.
Yesterday was somewhat entertaining as I celebrated my friend's 21st bday and got a little buzzed in the process. Today is shaping up to be a relaxing day to be concluded with yet another party set to take place in Lucy's place, a few blocks from campus.

Niels "telling people I'm gay helps me find those who are smart enough to understand that love comes in different packages, two guys can fall in love as much as a guy and a girl could"
