Rammstein tut

Time for one more tut!

This is a rather subtle effect, as far as my usual icons go. But I wanted to keep the simplicity of the picture and not distract from it too much.

Going from this
to this

As always, done in PSP and it's translatable.

1. Sharpen and/or clarify your base as needed.

2. Duplicate the base twice. Use Color Balance on the first duplicate and give it a moderate to strong orange color and set the layer to screen, 72%

3. For the second duplicate, set it to soft light, 78%

4. Fill a new layer with #0B163F and set to exclusion, 60%

5. Add this texture (by rainharbour) and set to soft light, 100%

6. Add this texture (by peachinparis) and set to screen, 72% and erase any part obstructing the subject.

7. Fill a new layer with #99CFF5 and set to burn, 74%

8. Duplicate the base again and bring it to the top. Greyscale the copy and again, color balance it to a medium orange. Set to screen 52%

9. Duplicate the base one more time and bring to the top. Set to soft light, 20%

10. Mask this brush (by ?) on a white-filled layer. I masked out some excess white left from the mask around 3 sides.

11. For my text, I used the font Jane Austen (avaliable on DaFont.com) at size 11 with kerning set to 237. I then set the text layer to "Luminance (legacy)" at 90%

12. If you'd like, pair it with a tiny text brush and you're done :)
