best canceled party ever
ok...
so this years party was canceled as most of you know.
seems there was a 4 page petition against the party...
I didn't even know there was enough people to fill 4 pages with signatures in my area...
I mean come on I live in the woods!
they even tried to take my fire permit away and my fireworks permit.
but they failed... cause the fire inspector couldn't justify it
seeing as the entire area has been flooded the night before.
not to mention the repeated calls from the chief of police... city hall...
even the mayors secretary... which was a man... (see men can also be secretaries)
well despite all the cities efforts...
and the fact I told everyone the party was canceled...
most of you showed up anyway!
seem as it turns out even if I try canceling my party you guys won't take no for an answer...
despite having to reduce the system from 7800 watts down to 1600...
in order to attempt to be relatively quite to avoid the fine they so desperately wanted to give me...
we were somehow loud enough the we couldn't hear each other speak over the music on stage...
the bands were awesome... thank you Matt, Warren, and Josh.
followed by some banana phone karaoke... oooooooh yeah. BANANA PHOOOOONE.
so long as there is no fine waiting in my mailbox when I get home... we pulled it off...
also despite the fact that the flood rains that came down stole half my yard and flooded the fire pit...
we still had a fire on Saturday and a much better one on Sunday.
and then we all ran around with roman candles and no one got hurt...
most importantly... despite the fact that I was in a pissy mood about having to cancel the party...
I had an awesome time, which is thanks to those of you who insisted there WAS going to be a party...
which has apparently been deemed the best canceled party ever!
now. if there is anyone that deserves to be thanked for this party...
it isn't me. this party wouldn't have even happened if it were not for Devo...
if it were not for him 70% of the people there would not have made it up.
if it were not for him I would not have obtained the Speakon Cables I needed for the speakers.
(and we really would have has a quiet party)
the amount of stuff he helped with for this party I could never of asked of anyone...
but he knew what needed to be done and did it without me asking him to.

also we should thank Chris for the visuals at the party...
I know they went over well because people have been asking for copies.
and I know how much time he put into them. thanks Chris.
and the reality of it all is the party would have been nothing without those of you who showed up...
especially those of you who stayed through till Monday... you guys are crazy. (Sunday night proved that)
cleanup went over well..

I already have over 1000 not that they all turned out... lots of blur and black...
