More stuff I bought this weekend
Do I define myself by the things that I buy and own?
By the way this crappy blog reads, obviously.
I spent my Best Buy Gift Card on Contra 4 for the DS. Let me say that Contra 4 is very hard. You need a lot of patience, if you plan on playing on Normal. I played on Normal for over an hour and was ready to throw my Nintendo DS through the window.
Then I changed it to easy and realized the bullet you shoot are a LOT bigger and makes the game a LOT more enjoyable.
Contra 4- Good Game, Hard as shit.
I spent another $20 this weekend on some DVD movies for Phin to watch in the CAR. Open Season and The Wild. Two animated features that really were pretty good.
What am I doing today?
Yes New Year's Eve is spent at work... doing more "fake" work. I've watched a lot of Japanese TV Shows. If you've ever been to Stage6 you know they've got a great selection of Japanese TV Shows fansubbed.
My current favorites:
Cutey Honey The Live- Its like Buffy the Vampire with a semi-naked robot lady that fights evil. Not perverted like the anime, but extremely cute and fun.
First Kiss- I've only seen the first episode, but I"m already hooked. Story about a girl who goes back to visit her brother in Japan as a last vacation before her heart surgery, which only has a 50% success rate.
Stand Up!- You've heard me talk about this series before. Its a 9 episode series like American Pie about a group of kids who struggle with their virginity and growing up. Extremely endearing.
If you get a chance I STRONGLY recommend watching these shows.
