Tour de Fleece - day EIGHT
Saturday 7th July
12pm : Last night my daughter took off the single in one piece, no breaks so I was so happy with that, she is brilliant, the my husband took everything apart, put the flyer and wheel back together, the bobbin had the leader stuck down the side of the spike at one end so the wooden end was pushed outwards by about 3 - 4mm, he put some metal thing inside the hole at the hex end of the bobbin which is where the gap was, and hammered, I couldnt look but in the end the bobbin was full of grit down inside it so when I put it back on the wheel a lot of it got pushed out towards the front, few tries later its all working like a dream again. I decided that as the single appeared nice and strong not falling or drifting apart, I would attempt this yarn as my first fulled, singles yarn. Happy with this decision and the wheel plus bobbin now working again.
6pm : Its finished, My precious is actually completed!!
