Lionel's Accommodation & Last Couple of Days

Sep 01, 2011 20:03

Yesterday was a very nice day, the disabilities grant came through, I can not even begin to describe what a giant weight that is off my shoulders. Art supplies, moleskine journals / sketch books arrived and today I received my rose quartz crystal chunky candle holder and slices of pink agate I'd ordered for the new house.
I cooked chicken Biryani, vegetable curry and yoghurt salad yesterday, it was absolutely gorgeous and everyone was happy. Its the last big family meal to be cooked here in the north east so I did go to town on making the meal, knitting in between so that more squares could be finished.
Before cooking Dom's Mum Dionne who is a hair dresser, came over and cut my hair. I've had at least half of it taken off and it all feels so much lighter and looks much brighter white than usual plus has a bit of a wave to the texture at the moment. I am pleased with it, it feels and looks incredibly healthy for a change.
We collected the keys to Lionel's student accommodation today, the room is a bit smaller than we thought it would be but has double bed, two chest of drawers, a double wardrobe, desk and chair inside his room, shared is two large shower rooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen, lounge, diner in one, so the whole accommodation is actually quite large just his bedroom is a tad on the small side. Its right across the road from the university, perfect location, actually we couldnt have chosen a better place as its above the student accommodation housing office and therefore fully alarmed with 24 hour security as well. Lionel signed his tenancy agreement after I checked it over in every detail so as not to have missed anything in the small print, and is very excited. The lady had to wait ages for me to read the document cover to cover with my magnifier but it needed to be done, just in case there was some hidden clause or something. There wasn't and I feel confident Lionel will make a go of it there now. He is sharing with three ladies which he prefers anyway so its all good.
I put the shop in hibernation today having sent out all the parcels yesterday except one which I am still waiting for the remaining balance of, I hope the lady pays by tomorrow evening as I doubt we'll want to drive into town after this weekend to post anything as its now a countdown to the last ten days then moving day, after today.
On the way to driving Lionel down to sign and pick up his keys, suddenly I came over all funny in the car, started seeing black and white flashes in my eyes, felt like I was on a fairground ride, asked my husband to stop the car which wasnt easy on the motorway, then opened the door to vomit at the side of the road. It was so unexpected, I felt so happy, relaxed and fine this morning. Threw up twice again since we've been home so not at all sure what is going on but I think it might be stress related and lack of sleep over the past month. Will have to rest some more and take it easy for the rest of the day, feeling so so so tired my eyes keep on closing in the most inconvenient times.
