Why ?
The violence, fires, looting, riots, none of it makes any sense at all. Really feel for the family who have run Reeves for well over 100 years, I bought the boys first beds from there in 1992 when they were both toddlers, Joseph remembers fondly going in there regularly, there is a coffee shop across the road where we used to sit when Lionel was in the pram and Joseph used to toddle about watching the people going in and out of the bed shop. Its where I had one of my first jobs, where I used to spend a lot of time in the 1980's.
Clapham too, worked, went to school, college, church, entertainment nights, a lot happened there, my Dad's family all still live right along where the bulk of the riots are taking place tonight.
Its all very painful to watch on Sky and BBC news channels. Makes me feel very ashamed to be from south east London now and worried about moving close by, we will be living 40 minutes away from these places by train and car in just 31 days time, half of our household is going on the journey within a week.
