Imogen's HotchPotch Yarn (pics heavy)

Remember those MHE HotchPotch Fibre Bundles my 11 year old daughter Imogen hand carded for me last week ?

I finished spinning the yarn yesterday and have to say, now the twist is set and its dry, I absolutely love it. Its not as orange as in the photographs, they were very difficult to take as I wanted to show just how sparkly the skein is. Its so glittery it looks like a special little fairy has visited during the night and left all their sparkly footprints all over the yarn. I spun both singles from dark shades to light so the yarn will knit up (hopefully) in the same way finishing with the lightest apricot shades.
DETAILS :
113g 347.50m sock weight ish yarn
SPINNING :
singles and ply spun at 1:5 ratio on Julius my SpinOlution Mach 2 spinning wheel
plied with a very low twist compared to the thin singles which probably should have had a lot more but the end result looks nice and it fluffed up beautifully during washing and setting the twist.
split fibre bundles into pairs of shaded colour then into two piles and tried to spin a yarn from dark to light colours which I think has worked out extremely well. There was only about three to four metres of yarn left over on one single after plying so I think I got the piles quite evenly balanced.
