Global Warming and stuuuuff

First of all I am so content right now in my life. I think starting Louisville School of Massage was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. This is the kind of place that I'd love to be forever, but unfortunately I will be finishing school in December of this year...it's been flying by and I wish time would slow down. I've met some of the most amazing people...young or old it doesn't matter. The teachers are even more amazing...they actually care about us and my classes are like one big family. I love it so much. Although I love school, I can't wait to get out on my own and start a career. I'm doing an internship at an Assisted Living place and am working with elderly people. I've decided that my life passion right now is wanting to do Geriatric massage. I have to make a business plan which will probably take me months to finish but it's going to help me out a lot for the future. I really want to have my own business. I'm so excited. I'm just so incredibly happy right now.

So anyway...for the past few months I've been doing a lot of research online and watching the Discovery channel about the tsunamis, hurricanes, and global warming. It is fascinating me. I want the website stopglobalwarming.org and signed up and read every article I could read on that site. Discovery channel had a two hour show on Global Warming Sunday night which I recorded and I watched it and some parts made me want to cry. It's so crazy that this is happening so quick. I blame it on ourselves, it's sad but true that we're only doing this to ourself and our planet. If you're interested at all go to that website to see all the ways we can help SLOW down global warming. There's no way we can stop it, but scientist believe that we can slow it down if everyone is willling but yeah like that will ever happen. Friday, my parents and I are seeing "An Inconvient Truth" at the Baxter and I am reallllly excited about seeing that. I watched the trailor online and it made me want to see more more more.

I heard something on the news yesterday that really pissed me off. I don't understand why Bush wouldn't want to help stem cell research. Use our tax dollars and do more research...please. I think  stem cell research is amazing. And I think Bush is a dick for not wanting to support it. When is his term up? 2008? He sucks. I can't even stand seeing his face on the computer or on the TV. It's going to be funny when something happens to his Dad, daughters, or his wife and they're paralyzed and he's going to wish that he supported stem cell research. That would be great. God I can't stand him.

Al Gore said something like, instead of worrying about terrorism, maybe we should be worrying more about the crisis that is going on with our world which is doing something to slow down global warming and getting the message out there. Hmmmmm.....
